Byrne Receives M&AMI Certification
November 23, 2008 Greg Byrne, Principal at Rimrock Partners LLC has received the prestigious “Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary” designation from M&A Source, a division of the International Business Brokers Association.
To qualify for the designation, Byrne had to:
- Meet the requirements to earn a Certified Business Intermediary designation.
- Successfully complete 32 credit hours of M&A Source / IBBA courses, passing each course exam with a score of at least 75%.
- Attend and participate in at least three M&A Conference and Deal Mart Expos over a three year period.
- Successfully complete at least three merger and acquisition transactions with a total value of at least one million dollars.
In addition, Byrne will be required to participate in continuing professional development activities.
Byrne is one of only a small number of individuals in Oregon to earn the M&A Intermediary designation. “This designation signifies an individual is highly trained and educated in the business of mergers and acquisitions,” said Pat Appelhans, President of IBBA. “It signifies to buyers and sellers that they will be working with someone who meets the highest professional and ethical standards.”
